The LAST entry for the blog!

The mid term examination is SO SOO SOOO near already YET I have only revised a little for my mid term exam. That means the next week I have to double my revision time and suffer staying up till late at night to study and sit for the paper the next early morning even though it is not advisable.
I have done a little brainstorming on all the subjects then making notes into mind map with some cool graphics and special codes so it’s easier for me to remember.

Well, I have actually made one timetable where I have to follow the timetable and study. No hang outs , no movies, no mamak sessions and all in that timetable. The timetable is something like Saturday, I have to stay at home the whole day and study my Intro to Mass Communication in the morning as we will be having the exam on Monday morning. Followed by, Fundamentals of Management at night. To be honest, I wonder if I can really follow the timetable I’ve made for myself. HAHA!

Besides, I will plan a group study with my course mates and we’ll discuss and study everything together! Hopefully it works out by then.If it works out then we can create questions and look at the answers from different people. That way, we allow change of ideas and opinions from different perspective. It works out for me when I actually look for hard hard questions and then look for the answers then pass it to my friends to answer then we can compare our answers together and decide the best answer to put it as the perfect answer. Moreover, we can divide our chapter to study to a few numbers of people then we can teach each other and by that we can get to share knowledge.

If it doesn’t work out for group study, then I’ll have to go to the campus’s library alone next week to do more research about my subjects and read some of the text books that are provided in the library to get to know more information and get more examples in order to make myself understand deeper about it.

Not to be forgotten the most important thing, I’ll also revise on the revision that my lecturers gave us for our midterm. I guess the questions from the revision they gave are 70% from the real mid term paper. Last but not least, of course I will look for my friends from the same course to get more information about my subjects and learn more stuff from them.

Frankly speaking, I am quite disappointed because there is no exam for Creative Communication and Portfolio Development which is not a good thing as I am quite interested in that subject and I guess it would be quite easy if we have the exam on it.

This would be the last post for the Creative Communication and Portfolio Development so I hereby wish everyone GOOD LUCK and ALL THE BEST in your mid term examination! Same goes to me. =D

Preparation for Mid Term

The first day when I enter college, I remember the lecturers were explaining to us about our course outline and our assignments which carry marks and the most important thing, our MID TERM EXAMINATION. I can still remember my MALE *wink wink* lecturer, Mr. Winston was telling us that we still have 5 more weeks to go till our Mid Term Examination. And poof! Without realizing, five weeks is gone and next week we will be having our mid term examination already. Isn’t that fast? Seriously, TIME FLIES!!!

Now, we have no more assignment due these few weeks already till our mid term ends.
We should really concentrate on our mid term exams already which means that NO MORE HANG OUTS during this two weeks, NO MORE MOVIES and NO MORE MAMAK SESSIONS. OH MY GOD! I wonder how I survive without all that. Well, I’ll just try to stay at home and STUDY!

As this is my first test in a COLLEGE, I am quite nervous for the exams. I don’t know how are the formats of the paper, the way college students have test and the “STYLE” of the exams and all. Well, actually I have a little bit of knowledge how the format of the paper is. The paper is separated into a few sections where we have Multiple Choices and Short Essays. Another thing that makes me more nervous is the short essays where we have to write in Intro to Mass Comm. I totally have no idea how long the SHORT essay is suppose to be and the format for short essays in college level.

Well well well, I think I am ridiculous and I shouldn’t be nervous since all of my lecturers gave us tips about what is coming out for our mid term. If we study and follow the tips and revise more on what we learnt then it shouldn’t be a problem for me and of course everyone else, RIGHT? One part of me is saying I shouldn’t be nervous while the other part of me is telling myself I AM NERVOUS.HOW HOW HOW? It’s all because we have four subjects to study for next week’s exam.

Even though all the lecturers gave us tips about what we should study, the tips that they gave are seriously A LOT! For Intro to Mass Communication by Miss Karmini, the tips are seriously a lot. Its like we have to study the whole book except for the topic we’ve done in our assignment, ONLY ONE chapter not included in all the ten chapters we have studied.

Another worries of mine is Fundamental of Management, the tips are quite a lot too. We have to like study eight chapters from the Text Book. But luckily the tips that my lecturer gave was quite detail. Thank god Mr. Winston listed out the page where we have to study and the chapters that we can ignore. Besides, during his lecture class, he told us about the MUST KNOW, GOOD TO KNOW and the NICE TO KNOW. That seriously helps a lot. Its like the MUST KNOWs then we pay extra attention at it. I shall continue in my next entry! GOOD LUCK!!

Sports.

The word "Sport" comes from the old French desport meaning "leisure." A sport is commonly defined as an organized, competitive, and skillful physical activity requiring commitment and fair play. There are many types of sports such as running, dancing, swimming, cycling and etc etc.

Every one of us in the earth play sports right? No? If no then you guys should start playing sports and do more exercise in your daily life. It is part of our basic need!

People play sports to keep themselves healthy. It helps them to build up their stamina. By playing sports often, we humans won’t fall a sick that easily, right? For some certain people by playing sports like swimming, running, kick boxing and etc help them to release stress. While for some other people, their main purposes of playing sports are either to maintain their ideal weight or to lose weight. They normally go for swimming, running and dancing classes that could really help them to maintain they weight.

While for me, I don’t really play sports because I am kind of lazy to do exercises. I would rather stay at home and sleep. That is the SPORT that I do. Ha-ha. Nah, I was just kidding. I would prefer playing badminton and golf even though I am not very good at it. I enjoy playing it especially with my friends around, most of my friends are experts at badminton. I always had to run around like a mad person just to hit back while they just stand at the same old position to hit the shuttle cock. I know it doesn’t sound right for me to love playing badminton and gold at the same time because badminton is like those fast games where you have to react fast and play fast unlike golf. Golf is to those slow and relax sport. I always feel happy and glad if I get to hit the ball to the highest and further place.

Besides that, for some people, their hobby is playing sports and eventually it leads to a working carrier. As an example, a high school student love playing sports and joins every competition that the school held. And if the student won the school stage match and gets to play at the state stage then national stage and eventually the person will get famous and they play for the country and they earn money from playing sports and that will automatically become their carrier.
Playing sports is also good for teenagers who are easily still gullible into doing negative stuffs. You know nowadays students tend to do some negative and stupid stuff like taking drugs, doing crimes and others. Playing sports could take their time up and that would help them to avoid from doing the negatives stuff.

Besides, playing sports could also build up a person’s cooperative among the team mates if they are playing in a same team. The players will have to cooperate among themselves in order to win a match. Not only cooperative, they even need to communicate well among each other.

I shall end here for my current entry!

MUSIC!

Music, every single human being that lives in this very going gone world loves music, How is possible that you don’t love music!? It’s an insult if you don’t love music.tsk tsk tsk to you then if you don’t. What to type what to type!? It’s obvious right that I’m just putting more words so that this very post can reach at least five hundred over words. How smart am I? Anyways, let’s get back to the topic that we were typing about just now shall we?

MUSIC! We normally ask each other that what type of music do you like, when I ask I actually expect the person to answer me with either English songs, Chinese songs or some other language songs, but they answer you with R & B , Pop, Rap or Classics. For me I love emotional songs, it just triggers my more emotional, and what do you think?

Music expresses one’s mood, when a person listens to emotional songs automatically we feel the singers feeling towards the song, especially when the lyrics are very meaningful and it actually reflects the way you are at that very time. I bet every one, okay not everyone but majority actually listens to PIT BULL! Am I right? He usually sings very upbeat songs and his songs are usually play in clubs or cars. I mean when his song is playing you turn up your volume and turn up the beat, and you go head banging along with the song.
Okay, I’m pissed off or when you’re angry, what song do you listen to when you’re all angry? Some emotional song? That will be weird right? When you’re angry you listen to all those songs that contain vulgar words? I guess its okay when you’re angry, not sure you tell me. Don’t you think it’s weird that when you’re sad you listen to emotional songs and you go all EMO, get my point? I know you guys do the same thing when you’re sad anyways.
For some certain people, they listen to music even when they want to go to bed.

They feel so dependent on music to lullaby themselves to sleep that they if they don’t have music playing they couldn’t sleep the whole night and feel so restless. While for some other people especially high school students and college students they listen to music while they study to block every single sound that surrounds them to pay extra attention to their work that there are doing. They fully concentrate 100% that the don’t even realize what song is actually playing.

The Legendary most popular ever singer would be? Michael Jackson! Of course, if you were thinking some other singer your wrong then. I mean this fact is true right? For me I love listening to his songs especially Heal The World and You are not alone. His a very caring person especially towards his family and the environment or in his words THE WORLD, you can see it through majority of his songs that he wrote like Heal the world, We are the world and more. I shall end here.

Lakeside Campus Part Two

Here comes my second post of the week about the Lakeside Campus. As I have mentioned about the traffic around the lakeside is bad. It didn’t get any better the following days. Day by day the parking spaces in the campus are getting lesser and lesser. Probably it was because it is getting more and more students moving in from the other campus.

First, I’ll share some of my opinion about the food here in Lakeside Campus. At first before I move into the campus, most of the people here complain about the food saying that the food here sucks and all. Well for me, the food here is not that bad actually. Especially the chicken rice in the cafeteria and the sandwich from The Norwegian Sandwich Co., I love both of that a lot. They have a few food stalls in the campus such as Sisters Crispy Popiah, The Norwegian Sandwich Co., Chill and Dessert’s Bar Café. I prefer the food in Sisters Crispy Popiah. It’s not that expensive and the food taste good compared to the other food stalls.

While for the library, there are four levels in there. There are quite a number of discussion rooms which is a good thing for us, students. We can get a discussion room easily without worrying about the insufficient of the discussion rooms. The discussion rooms are much bigger and comfortable compared to the one in the previous campus. Besides that, there are also 24/7 study room for us to study. Well, frankly speaking, I have never been there before. I prefer the discussion rooms in the fifth level. The discussions rooms there are like some big companies’ meeting room. It made me feel OH SO PROFESSIONAL sitting in that room.

Moreover, the whole college has internet connection which able us to go online with our own laptops. Besides that, there are more computers here in the computer lab for us to use. I remember few days ago when I went to the computer lab for IT class, the connection there was much faster than the one in LCS. Another very important thing is the cleanliness of the college. Even though there is shits smell surrounding my college, my college is quite clean. I feel very comfortable studying in such a clean college!

Not to be forgotten, there are also several societies and clubs that we can join. Of course I myself have joined the clubs and societies. While for me, I’ve signed up for Photography Club, Badminton Club, and most importantly, Rotaract Club. I was a Rotaract Club member since secondary so I definitely hope to be a member of the club in college.

There are also basketball court, netball court, tennis court, futsal and others in the Lakeside Campus. What we have to do is just login to our portal and book the court there. But of course, we have to book it 48 hours before.

To be honest, I feel slightly disappointed with the college. At first, I never thought that there would be insufficient parking spaces, traffic jams and all. I thought it would be great studying in such a huge college but after studying in the campus for around two weeks, everything wasn’t as what I expected. I’ll stop here and let the picture do the talking.

Lakeside Campus Part One

Hello readers!
First thing first, I would like to tell you readers about my first impression towards Taylor’s Lakeside Campus. My first impression towards lakeside campus was impressive. At first I thought it was going to be great studying in such a HUGE college.

We have all officially moved to the Lakeside Campus on 26th of April, obviously this year. One word to describe the college is awesome. On the first day in Lakeside Campus, I woke up earlier than usual because I was worried that the traffic would be very jam. So I left my house around six forty five in the morning. The traffic was jam as usual at the Summit area and it got worse when I reach to a turning to the campus.

Once after I got rid of the jam, I drove to the parking lots and it was all packed. I was so terrified because I might be late for class due to the time which was already 745. There were no spaces at all that I have to drive to a further parking lot to look for parking space. I finally found a parking space at I HAVE NO IDEA HOW FAR IT WAS after a few minutes. Once I entered the campus, I was stoned because I have no idea where was my class located at. Luckily I met Patricia in front of the Student Life Centre and both of us went to ask some seniors where our class located at. The seniors were kind enough to lead us to our class and obviously we were late. Not to forget the elevators in Lakeside Campus were all so packed. We waited for so long to be our turn to enter the elevator. Moreover, the lift stopped at every level. Finally I reached my class but it was so late that I could even see my lecturer was waiting for the students. By the time we entered our class, I saw most of them have not enter the class too. I was relieved when our lecturer did not blame us for entering class late, probably because he knew that the traffic outside was horrible.

When we were in class, I heard a lot of complains from few students about the traffics and parking spaces. My very first good impression towards this campus already gone. Luckily, what made me love this campus was the view that I can see from my class. It kept me awake when the scenery is nice.

Around eight forty five, most of them finally reached the class. Some were lost in the campus, some were stucked in the jam while some couldn't find a parking. So our class began as usual and they were only a few people came in when class had already started. I think I will have get use to the new environment in the Lakeside Campus, the jams, the parking spaces, and the surrounding smell.

Alright! Please stay tune for the photos of the campus and I’ll share more about the food and the facilities in the campus.

Holiday Part Two.

Here goes my second post for the theme of this week which is HOLIDAYS. Frankly speaking, I didn’t really enjoy my holidays because I did not do many things during my one week holiday. It was rather boring compared to college (that doesn’t mean that I enjoy college though).

Okay, I am going to tell my grandmother stories here about what I did during my holidays. Hopefully it will not bore you readers. First of all, as I mentioned in the previous post that me and my course mates were planning to visit the Lakeside Campus for a group discussion and some hang out sessions. And yes all of us managed to make it. The plan was all of us as in Michelle the Double L, Rachel, Sanjiv, Harvind, Jesseca, Ameera and me would meet up at 9am at the Leisure Commerce Square for breakfast and then we will head to the Lakeside Campus together. So yeah, I reached 9 sharp at the Leisure Commerce Square the next morning and I see no one there. So I waited there alone and I rang them up. And guess what? Most of them did not pick up the call! Thank god few minutes later, Sanjiv called me. I headed to Lakeside Campus later on because he was there already.

We met up at the Cafeteria at the Lower Ground Floor. After chilling for a moment, we went to look for the library. Both of us stoned at the library waiting for the rest to come. TWO hours later, the rest reached and met us up. The first thought that was in my mind was punctuality is a difficulty for them. We started with some discussion about our assignment for a few minutes and ended up surfing on the Internet and some of them were cam-whoring.

After the DISCUSSION we had, everyone went Asia Café together to have our lunch together and all of us went back.

Besides that, I also went to an event somewhere at my area in Klang. It was an event where a company launches their product Skinz Infinite. The greatest part was Charmaine Sheh, an artiste from Hong Kong attended to that event. She is one of my favorite idol and I never thought that I would be able to see her in real life! Okay, let’s get back to our topic. She was there in that place because she was advertising for that company and she was the ambassador of the company!

I went to the shopping centre with my friend at 5.30 pm as the event was going to start at 6. Surprisingly, we managed to stand in the first row when we actually reached quite late. So, we waited there for like half an hour and the emcee of the day began to do his job. He was fooling around with the fans and the passerby, a very funny emcee I would say. Half an hour later, all of us were counting down to the arrival of Charmaine Sheh. I’ll let the videos do the talking.
