Hello readers!
First thing first, I would like to tell you readers about my first impression towards Taylor’s Lakeside Campus. My first impression towards lakeside campus was impressive. At first I thought it was going to be great studying in such a HUGE college.
We have all officially moved to the Lakeside Campus on 26th of April, obviously this year. One word to describe the college is awesome. On the first day in Lakeside Campus, I woke up earlier than usual because I was worried that the traffic would be very jam. So I left my house around six forty five in the morning. The traffic was jam as usual at the Summit area and it got worse when I reach to a turning to the campus.
Once after I got rid of the jam, I drove to the parking lots and it was all packed. I was so terrified because I might be late for class due to the time which was already 745. There were no spaces at all that I have to drive to a further parking lot to look for parking space. I finally found a parking space at I HAVE NO IDEA HOW FAR IT WAS after a few minutes. Once I entered the campus, I was stoned because I have no idea where was my class located at. Luckily I met Patricia in front of the Student Life Centre and both of us went to ask some seniors where our class located at. The seniors were kind enough to lead us to our class and obviously we were late. Not to forget the elevators in Lakeside Campus were all so packed. We waited for so long to be our turn to enter the elevator. Moreover, the lift stopped at every level. Finally I reached my class but it was so late that I could even see my lecturer was waiting for the students. By the time we entered our class, I saw most of them have not enter the class too. I was relieved when our lecturer did not blame us for entering class late, probably because he knew that the traffic outside was horrible.
When we were in class, I heard a lot of complains from few students about the traffics and parking spaces. My very first good impression towards this campus already gone. Luckily, what made me love this campus was the view that I can see from my class. It kept me awake when the scenery is nice.
Around eight forty five, most of them finally reached the class. Some were lost in the campus, some were stucked in the jam while some couldn't find a parking. So our class began as usual and they were only a few people came in when class had already started. I think I will have get use to the new environment in the Lakeside Campus, the jams, the parking spaces, and the surrounding smell.
Alright! Please stay tune for the photos of the campus and I’ll share more about the food and the facilities in the campus.

Holiday Part Two.
Here goes my second post for the theme of this week which is HOLIDAYS. Frankly speaking, I didn’t really enjoy my holidays because I did not do many things during my one week holiday. It was rather boring compared to college (that doesn’t mean that I enjoy college though).
Okay, I am going to tell my grandmother stories here about what I did during my holidays. Hopefully it will not bore you readers. First of all, as I mentioned in the previous post that me and my course mates were planning to visit the Lakeside Campus for a group discussion and some hang out sessions. And yes all of us managed to make it. The plan was all of us as in Michelle the Double L, Rachel, Sanjiv, Harvind, Jesseca, Ameera and me would meet up at 9am at the Leisure Commerce Square for breakfast and then we will head to the Lakeside Campus together. So yeah, I reached 9 sharp at the Leisure Commerce Square the next morning and I see no one there. So I waited there alone and I rang them up. And guess what? Most of them did not pick up the call! Thank god few minutes later, Sanjiv called me. I headed to Lakeside Campus later on because he was there already.
We met up at the Cafeteria at the Lower Ground Floor. After chilling for a moment, we went to look for the library. Both of us stoned at the library waiting for the rest to come. TWO hours later, the rest reached and met us up. The first thought that was in my mind was punctuality is a difficulty for them. We started with some discussion about our assignment for a few minutes and ended up surfing on the Internet and some of them were cam-whoring.

After the DISCUSSION we had, everyone went Asia Café together to have our lunch together and all of us went back.
Besides that, I also went to an event somewhere at my area in Klang. It was an event where a company launches their product Skinz Infinite. The greatest part was Charmaine Sheh, an artiste from Hong Kong attended to that event. She is one of my favorite idol and I never thought that I would be able to see her in real life! Okay, let’s get back to our topic. She was there in that place because she was advertising for that company and she was the ambassador of the company!
I went to the shopping centre with my friend at 5.30 pm as the event was going to start at 6. Surprisingly, we managed to stand in the first row when we actually reached quite late. So, we waited there for like half an hour and the emcee of the day began to do his job. He was fooling around with the fans and the passerby, a very funny emcee I would say. Half an hour later, all of us were counting down to the arrival of Charmaine Sheh. I’ll let the videos do the talking.

Holidays.
HOLIDAYS are here. As I know, we, the Mass Communication students are all having our holidays due do the moving to the Lakeside Campus. Well, I love holidays and I am sure everyone loves holidays too. I am going to share my activities during my one week break.
For the first few days of holidays, I’ve been doing research on I Phone as I was planning to get one for myself. The reasons why I want an I phone was because it is on trend now as everyone is using it but the most important thing BEING ABLE TO GET CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET NO MATTER WHERE I AM even in the TOILET doing my big business, I can go ONLINE as well.
As you know, there are two companies selling I phone on market now which is Digi and Maxis. As of being a smart consumer, we should all compare the prices and the services provided. We would not want to buy expensive things right? So I will show some of the research I’ve done so far.
Maxis Plans.

Let’s just say you are a frequent phone user and you make calls a lot and you want a 16GB iPhone 3GS, so you choose iValue 2 and you sign up a 24 months contract, the amount you have to pay for the phone is Rm 1090 plus the prepayment monthly fee which are required for every iValue Plan 2 which is Rm 620. The total up amount is Rm1710. However, the prepayment monthly fees will be credited equally over your first five months phone bill.
While for Digi plans, I don’t think its worth it compared to Maxis Plans so I shall not drag any longer on that. No offence here readers!
On the other hand, besides the research I have already done, my college friends and I also planned out some group discussion at Subang area. Sadly, everyone couldn’t make it last minute so I was left alone with my laptop at Starbucks Coffee @ Subang SS15 thinking that I could do my assignments there. And YES, I ended up surfing on Facebook, my favourite website and chat along with my friends. I left there a few hours later and headed to Sunway Pyramid. I wanted to go shopping alone because I have never tried that before as I heard from my classmate, Michelle The Double L saying that it was fun to go shopping alone. UNFORTUNATELY, after around an hour shopping alone and while I was starting to enjoy it, my friend rang me up for lunch. And there I went for lunch with her. So now, I am so going to plan a day out alone for shopping and movies. I think that would be fun. Hopefully I would enjoy it because I don’t get use to be alone.
I think this is all for now and I would update more about my holidays on the next entry as most of my classmates planned to visit Lakeside Campus during our holidays. Good Night readers!

Part TWO
AHA! There goes my second post about the New Beginning of my college. I think am kind of late to update this as most of them from my class had done their posts. Frankly speaking, I am actually very lazy to do this because I have no idea what to blog about and I am always stuck half way while doing this. It actually takes me three days to complete this post.
I am going to talk about my course as what I have mentioned in my first post. Everyone was like “Eh Jasmine, why did you choose Mass Communication”, when I told them I am currently taking Mass Communication. Well, what I can say is, I don’t really like calculation and I think there is not much calculation in Mass Communication compared to the other courses such as Business, Marketing and more. Furthermore, I am quite interested with the media stuff so this pushes me more on taking this course. To be honest, I am quite worried that I’ll give up studying halfway because all this while I have never complete learning something that I am interested with. Previously, I was also facing dilemma whether to take Culinary Arts or Mass Communication but most of them said that I don’t suit Culinary as I don’t do house work and cook at home. So yeah, I am here now in Mass Communication and hopefully I won’t give up studying. Let’s pray hard for that.
The campus I am studying at is the Leisure Commerce Square. At first, I was kind of disappointed when I get to know that we will be studying at Leisure Commerce Square first before moving in to the Lakeside Campus. But then, now when we are going to move in the week after our holidays, I feel reluctant to leave for Lakeside Campus. I am pretty sure all my classmates feel the same. Same goes to the lecturers especially you, Mr Winston. Am I right Sir? According to my friends who are currently studying at Lakeside Campus, the food and the surroundings in LCS are nicer and more fun compared to the one in Lakeside Campus. And the most important thing is the WEATHER. They said the weather in Lakeside Campus is very hot compared to LCS, I have no idea if its true. Hopefully not.
Going on to the courses part, which I don’t really have much idea with that. We have College Study Skills where we basically study English by Miss Ngim. She is an awesome lecturer and she has a good sense of fashion. I love her dressing and the way she communicates with her students. I never get bored in her class. While for IT taught by Miss Sureka where we study about computers, the hardware, the software and to be honest, it really gives me a real headache. Besides, Mass Communication by Miss Karmini as know as Miss K is quite interesting. Moving on to Fundamentals of Management and CCPD taught by our only male lecturer which is you, Mr Winston is fun but boring at times. No offense, I am just being HONEST!
That’s the end for my second entry of the NEW BEGINNING. Thank you and have a nice day, people! Enjoy your holidays!

A New Beginning
First of all, I would like to introduce myself. I’m Jasmine Chin but in my Identity Card its CHIN CHEA MEEN. There is a reason why my mum name me Jasmine. Previously, I was named ELIS which is a very funny name, I think. As I can remember when I was in Standard One, my mum went to one SIFU and he said,” Elis is not a good name and it doesn’t suit me and SOOOOO, I was named Jasmine Chin. From that onwards, my close friends start teasing me with ELIS JASMINE CHIN CHEA MEEN.
On the 23rd of March, I enrolled myself in Taylor’s College at the Lakeside Campus and I know this is going to be the new beginning of my life because this is related to my career in the future. Well, I was quite disappointed when I was told that we’ll be studying in Leisure Commerce Square. So, I am OFFICIALLY a COLLEGE student on the TWENTY NINETH of MARCH. Wondering why I capital the words? Well, that is what I waited for all this while when I was in my high school. I always wanted to be called as a COLLEGE STUDENT instead of a secondary school student which sounds more mature and cool, for ME. I was very nervous on the first day of college as we were going to meet more new people, meet our lecturers and the surroundings which are totally different from high school. It was something which I have not been through throughout these seventeen years. Besides, this also reminds me of the first day I entered school which was year 1999.
On the first day of college, I woke up very early because I couldn’t sleep well as I was feeling very nervous. I guess that was a normal thing for everyone, right? I reached college half an hour later and I headed to the Information Counter. We were brought to the Multi Purpose Hall for orientation talk. Frankly speaking, the talk was rather BORING. Soon after that, we were divided to two groups which were the Foundations and the Diplomas.
We were introduced to the Programme Director and our lecturers. There were Miss Ngim, our College Study Skills lecturer, Miss Karmini, our Mass Communication lecturer, Miss Sureka, our IT lecturer and the only male lecturer, Mr. Winston, our Fundamental of Management and Creative Communication Portfolio Development lecturer. Soon after that, the seniors brought us for campus tour. I was seriously confused with the blocks and floors and rooms.
I had my lunch with my high school friend who is also studying in the same college and after that I went back to the Multi Purpose Hall for another talk about our course and ice breaking. I had fun and I enjoyed a lot during the ice breaking session. I got to know friends from foundation because we were divided into groups to present something.
Soon after we finished the activity, I went to take my Student Id Photo at the Multipurpose Hall. And I got back home after taking that photo! I’ll talk about friends, course, lecturers and etc in another post soon! Good night people! =D
